Equine Coronavirus in Arizona

One case of equine coronavirus has been confirmed in a 5-year-old Saddlebred-cross gelding in Maricopa County, Arizona.

An attending veterinarian has confirmed one case of equine coronavirus in a 5-year-old Saddlebred-cross gelding in Maricopa County, Arizona. The gelding had onset of clinical signs on February 9 that included anorexia, fever and laying down. He was confirmed with equine coronavirus on February 13. The horse is recovering. There were five other horses exposed on the property.

This appears to be an isolated case.
