Additional EHM Case in Ohio

The premises in Crawford County, Ohio, now has reported six total positive equine herpesvirus cases, of which three are deceased and two showed neurologic signs.

On May 6, the Ohio Department of Agriculture confirmed one additional horse as positive on the premises in Crawford County. The horse had a fever and respiratory signs late last week and now is showing neurologic signs.

This brings the total number of affected horses on this property to six, with four showing respiratory signs (three of which are deceased) and two showing neurologic signs.

There are more than 30 horses exposed on this property that are being monitored.
