On January 23, 2018, the Maryland Department of Agriculture’s Animal Health Program confirmed that the retest for EVH-1 by nasal swab and blood, which was previously positive in a horse in Barn 20 at the Laurel Park Racetrack, is now negative for EHV-1.
Since this horse is no longer considered contagious and over the last 14 days there has been no history of febrile horses with upper respiratory disease in Barn 20, the Investigational Hold Order on Barn 20 can be safely released on 1/24/2018.
