First 2021 Equine West Nile Virus Case in South Carolina

The Clemson Livestock Poultry Health reported a confirmed case of West Nile virus in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The 2-year-old Thoroughbred colt is recovering.

This is the first case of West Nile virus reported in South Carolina for 2021.
