Wisconsin confirmed its third case of equine West Nile virus (WNV) for 2017. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection received confirmation of the third p case on August 9. The horse was an 8-year-old unvaccinated Standardbred gelding from St. Croix County. He presented with neurologic signs and was unable to rise when the veterinarian saw him. He was subsequently euthanized.
