European College of Equine Internal Medicine Consensus Statement—Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome in Adult Horses

The Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine from Wiley.com has released an open access article giving a consensus statement on equine gastric ulcer syndrome in adult horses. The article stated that consensus statements are created to, “provide veterinarians with guidelines regarding the pathophysiology, diagnosis, or treatment of equine internal medicine diseases. The foundation of the Consensus Statement is evidence-based medicine, but if such evidence is conflicting or lacking, the panel provides interpretive recommendations based on their collective expertise. The Consensus Statement panel is chosen by the board of the ECEIM.”
