Gelding in Davidson County, Tennessee, Confirmed with West Nile Virus

A 22-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding in Davidson County was euthanized due to West Nile virus (WNV).

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture confirmed a case of West Nile virus (WNV) in a 22-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding in Davidson County. The horse began showing clinical signs of ataxia and recumbency on November 11 and was confirmed on November 23. The unvaccinated gelding was euthanized.
