The Equine Disease Communication Center has reported that a private practice veterinarian in Hamilton, Indiana, has identified a confirmed case of equine influenza. There is a voluntary quarantine in place.

A 10-year-old Warmblood gelding was affected with a cough, fever and nasal discharge. The horse is reported to be recovering. The horse’s vaccination status was not reported.
