New Jersey's first reported case of EEE this year was in Cumberland County.

New Jersey reported its first 2017 case of Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE). An unvaccinated, 5-year-old mare in Cumberland County, New Jersey, died from complications of EEE on August 28.
