Equine Comback Challenge Returns to PA National Horse Show

Eight trainers have chosen their equine partner for a 90-day transformation. The Equine Comeback Challenge is returning for a second year at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show (PNHS). This event features rescue horse and trainer pairs to compete in a unique competition that is sure to captivate and tug at the heart strings of spectators as these exceptional horses show their true ability.

The PNHS Foundation partnered with A Home for Every Horse (AHFEH), a division of Equine.com that provides a unique search engine platform to feature rescue horses in need of forever homes.

“Rescue horses needed a platform and a knowledgeable partner to show the world what they are capable of,” said Mariah Hammerschmidt, project coordinator for AHFEH. “With a competition like the Equine Comeback Challenge, rescue horses are given that much-needed opportunity to showcase their abilities and potential.”

Follow the progress of each trainer and horse pair starts now, which allows you to cheer for your favorite on Tuesday, October 13, at 7:30 pm at PNHS. Find their inspirational journeys at this link: http://ahomeforeveryhorse.com/equine-comeback-challenge/pennsylvania-national-horse-show.

The Challenge at PNHS is presented by The W. Dale Brougher Foundation along with AHFEH’s sponsors Purina, Tractor Supply Company, Zoetis, WeatherBeeta and the Wanted Horse Coalition.

The Pennsylvania National Horse Show is one of the largest indoor horse shows in the U.S., hosting horses and competitors from across the country with 15,000 spectators attending from the Mid-Atlantic region. With over 1,400 qualified horses competing for $475,000 in prize money, the show features Hunter and Jumper competition and the $85,000 Grand Prix de Penn National. The 2015 Show is slated to run from October 8-17. Proceeds from the event benefit community equine and youth programs.
