The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development confirmed a case of equine strangles in Lenawee County. The 15-year-old Miniature Horse gelding had onset of clinical signs on November 24 that included enlarged submandibular lymph nodes. The gelding is recovering and there is a voluntary quarantine in place.
