Established Equine Lab to Reopen Under New Owners

Two former employees of IDEXX Laboratory in Lexington, Kentucky, Dr. Jennifer Morrow and Amy Graves, have purchased the lab from its parent company and re-opened under the name Equine Diagnostic LLC.

Morrow and Graves made the decision to purchase the lab after IDEXX Laboratories notified them in January of its intention to close the Kentucky lab and consolidate all specialty laboratory and diagnostic testing to its Sacramento location.

The new lab will have the same focus as the old, offering equine specialty testing with a focus on infectious diseases, such as EPM, along with molecular tests. Within the next few years, however, Equine Diagnostic LLC intends to offer a full menu of services.
