Fifth Confirmed 2021 Case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Florida

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services confirmed a case of Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in a horse at a private facility in Levy County.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services confirmed a case of Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in a horse at a private facility in Levy County. Three other horses were exposed.

This is the fifth confirmed case of EEE in Florida this year.
