First 2022 Neurologic Equine Herpesvirus Case for Florida

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services confirmed a case of neurologic equine herpesvirus (also known as equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy or EHM) in Marion County. 

The training facility where the horse was confirmed has 28 other horses considered exposed. The facility has been quarantined since February 2 when the results were confirmed. 

This is the first 2022 case of neurologic equine herpesvirus in Florida.
