Florida Horse Euthanized Due to EEE

On April 5, 2018, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services confirmed Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in one horse in Baker County. The three-year-old Paint filly became clinical on March 11, 2018, and was humanely euthanized on March 12, 2018, due to a poor prognosis. Her vaccination history is unknown.
