Horses and Humans Research Foundation Now Accepting LOIs for Innovation Research Grant up to $10,000

Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) is now accepting letters of intent (LOI) for the 2015 HHRF Innovation Research Grant (up to $10,000). All research teams interested in applying for this grant are required to submit a LOI by May15, 2015, to be considered.

HHRF Innovation Research Grants will foster research focused on new ideas that have strong potential for a meaningful impact to bridge the gaps in our understanding of horse-human interactions. The goal is to advance our scientific understanding of the relationship between horses and humans and their role in contributing to the wellness of people.

HHRF’s intended outcome is to connect practice with scientific knowledge through supporting the development of innovative research with high-impact potential that might not be funded through traditional channels. This grant will stimulate exploration, encourage the testing of hypotheses, and generate preliminary data that will open new pathways for future research.

The LOI summary should clearly describe the proposal to be submitted for the Innovation Research Grant (visit horsesandhumans.org for further description and details) and should include a cover page and project summary. Description of the research project should be no more than two pages and should address the primary criteria required (see complete grant description at horsesandhumans.org). Information for applicants, including guidelines, description of the grant, previously funded projects, and more are available at horsesandhumans.org.

Make a contribution to HHRF today and help ensure that this important research continues. For more information on this research, on the foundation, or on becoming a donor, contact KC Henry, Executive Director, KCHenry@horsesandhumans.org.

Through investment in rigorous research, Horses and Humans Research Foundation will serve as a catalyst to advance knowledge of horses and their potential to impact the health and wellness of people.
