Palm Beach Equine Clinic (PBEC) returns this year as the Official Veterinarians of the 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) running January 10 through April 1, and the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) running January 11 through March 31 in Wellington, Florida, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC).
A steadfast sponsor of WEF and AGDF for decades, PBEC’s world-renowned clinic is conveniently located at the intersection of Southfields Road and Pierson Road in the heart of Wellington and boasts an Annex office on-site at PBIEC. Palm Beach Equine veterinarians are on call at the Annex office on the show grounds daily to assist competitors throughout the events of the winter competition season with innovative treatments, as well as emergency and standard horse care needs.

After significant clinic renovations and advancements over the past year, PBEC is now better equipped than ever to deliver cutting-edge services, procedures, and therapies to the Wellington equestrian community and beyond. Among the advancements that PBEC recently underwent is the notable addition of a standing surgery pit, making surgical procedures more comfortable and safer for horses and veterinarians alike; a Computed Tomography, or CT Scan, machine used to conveniently explore areas of a horse’s body that are otherwise unexplored; and state-of-the-art isolation stalls for sick horses.
In addition to being named the Official Veterinarians of WEF and AGDF, PBEC’s own Dr. Samantha Miles, internal medicine specialist Dr. Peter Heidmann, and radiologist Dr. Sarah Puchalski will participate in WEF’s popular Lunch & Learn series during the 2018 season. PBEC will conduct a presentation on “Improving Performance in the Sport Horse” on Thursday, March 8, at 11:30 a.m. in The Wellington Club at the WEF showgrounds. Admission to the Lunch & Learn series is free for riders, trainers and owners and includes a buffet lunch and a chance to win exciting prizes from 2018 Lunch & Learn sponsors.
