South Carolina’s Second 2019 Equine EEE Case

The Equine Disease Communication Center reported that a 3-year-old Quarter Horse mare in Marlboro County, South Carolina, was confirmed positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) on July 26. The mare was euthanized. Her vaccination status was unknown.

This is the second EEE case in South Carolina this year.
