West Nile Virus in Tennessee and South Carolina Horses

Horses in Tennessee and South Carolina were confirmed with West Nile virus.

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture reported a case of West Nile virus (WNV) in a horse in Robertson County. The affected horse is now deceased.

Clemson Livestock Poultry Health reported a confirmed case of WNV in Pickens County, South Carolina in a 14-year-old Quarter Horse gelding. The vaccinated is still alive and is in quarantine.
