Equine Strangles Confirmed in King County, Washington

The Washington State Veterinary Office confirmed a case of equine strangles in King County. The owner and a private veterinarian at the private facility are managing and self-quarantining the facility. One other horse was exposed.

Other counties that have reported confirmed cases of equine strangles this year in Washington state are Asotin, Clallam, King, Pierce, Snohomish (multiple cases) and  Spokane.
