Dr. Ann Dwyer

Join us on the latest Equimanagement Podcast where Dr. Mike Pownall chats with Dr. Ann Dwyer. They cover a wide range of topics on business management of an equine veterinary practice. Dr. Dwyer has a wealth of experience from the viewpoint of someone who runs a very successful multi-vet practice (even when she was the AAEP president), teaches students on business education, and fulfills her love of equine practice, especially ophthalmology. Dr. Dwyer shares many of her thoughts on the business aspects of the veterinary profession that anyone from new grads to those practitioners looking to retire in the near future will find interesting and relevant to their own situations.

Listen to the Podcast:

Ann Dwyer, DVM, is the co-owner of the Genesee Valley Equine Clinic, a full-service equine practice near Rochester, New York. She is a general practitioner, but has cultivated a special interest in both practice management and equine ophthalmology since graduating from Cornell in 1983. She also has been very active in the American Association of Equine Practitioners during her career, serving as Program Chair in 2012 and as AAEP president in 2013.
