Second Snohomish County, Washington, Strangles Report for 2021

The Washington State Veterinary Office confirmed a case of equine strangles at a facility in Snohomish County. This is the second report of strangles on a property in that county this year. (Read about the first report here.)

In the April 19 report from the Equine Disease Communication Center, a farm in Snohomish County, Washington, was under a voluntary quarantine after a horse tested positive for equine strangles. Eight other horses were exposed.
