The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has two facilities under official quarantine for suspected equine strangles until testing is completed.
In Martin County there are 10 suspected cases of equine strangles at a boarding facility . Another 12 horses were exposed. The facility is under an official quarantine until all tests are completed.
In Marion County there are two suspected cases and five exposed horses at a private facility. The facility is under an official quarantine until all tests are completed.
