Animal Health International Hosts “Chairside” Lecture Series

Features World Renowned Expert in Veterinary Dentistry at 2014 NAVC Convention, Booth #529

Animal Health International, Inc., a leading animal health products, technologies and services solutions provider announces it will host a “chairside” lecture series on various topics of interest to veterinarian practitioners in small animal dentistry. The series of lectures will be presented by internationally recognized veterinary dentistry expert Dr. Brook Niemiec.

Topics covered will include Polishing and Scaling, Basic Periodontal Care, X-Ray Positioning, X-Ray Interpretation and Nerve Blocks, and Niemiec will be available to answer questions and provide information on all other aspects of small animal dentistry, radiology and periodontal care.

Niemiec is a 1994 graduate of the University of California, Davis. He is a Board Certified specialist in Veterinary Dentistry and a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. Niemiec is Chief of Staff of Southern California Veterinary Dental Specialties. He has authored many articles and chapters including having edited/authored the recently published Color Handbook of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. He has also co-founded the premier veterinary dental telemedicine website vetdentalrad.com, which has produced instructional videos and educational posters. Finally, he is the Director of San Diego Vet Dental Training Center.

This lecture series will be provided at Animal Health International’s booth (#529) at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center during the National Association of Community Veterinarians Annual Convention being held in Orlando, Florida, and will be held from 9:20 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 19 and Jan. 20, and from 9:20 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Animal Health International is providing these educational sessions free of charge, and no registration is required. Niemiec will also be conducting these lectures at the Western Veterinary Conference on Feb. 16, 17, 18 and 19, 2014.

Animal Health International conducts RACE-approved Lectures and Wet Labs as a service to their customers and the entire veterinary community and has over 50 events scheduled nationwide for 2014. Topics include Equine Dentistry (conducted by Dr. Jack Easley), Anethesia (conducted by Dr. Victoria Lukasik), Orthopedics (conducted by Dr. Brian Beale and Dr. Don Hulse), and Small Animal Dentistry Level I and Level II (conducted by Niemiec and Dr. Tony Woodward).
