Today marks the 10th time that Boehringer Ingelheim has received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and has been designated as a 2018 Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

Today marks the 10th time that Boehringer Ingelheim has received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and has been designated as a 2018 Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality. Administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the CEI is a national benchmarking report on corporate policies and practices related to workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning/queer (LGBTQ) employees.

“Achieving a perfect score that recognizes our support of the LGBTQ community is a great sense of pride for our company and we are honored to be recognized yet again by the Human Rights Campaign,” said Nancy Di Dia, Executive Director Americas, Head, Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement, Boehringer Ingelheim. “We are proud to support the LGBTQ community and are committed to fostering an environment of respect and inclusion that celebrates diversity of ideas, individuality, and personal experience, which we know contribute to our success in changing the lives of the patients we serve.”

The 2018 CEI rated 945 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Boehringer Ingelheim has satisfied and exceeded all of the CEI’s criteria for a tenth time resulting in a 100 percent score. The company is among 609 major U.S. businesses that earned top marks this year.

Boehringer Ingelheim’s CEI perfect score follows other recent honors including Working Mother magazine’s 100 Best Companies and Science Magazine annual list of “top employers.”
