Eastern Equine Encephalitis NOT Confirmed in Arizona in June

Arizona State Veterinarian Peter Mundschenk, DVM, confirmed on July 15, 2021, that there was NO Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in Maricopa County in June of 2021.

Dr. Mundschenk said there was a mix up at the USDA lab on the original sample. This horse is negative for EEE.
