On August 17, a suckling warmblood colt in MRC Brome-Missiquoi, Quebec, was confirmed positive for salmonellosis. The colt developed clinical signs on August 12, including hyperthermia, respiratory difficulties, profuse liquid diarrhea, severe dehydration, cyanotic mucosa and severe electrolytic disorders. The foal has been euthanized.
