EIA Confirmed in Three Iowa Horses

Three horses were confirmed positive for EIA and 25 others are being tested for the disease on a premises in Polk County, Iowa.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture reported three Quarter Horses confirmed positive for equine infectious anemia (EIA) on one premises in Polk County. These three horses were confirmed positive for EIA on February 24.

The premises has been quarantined, and the 25 other horses on the premises are being tested.
