An attending veterinarian confirmed a case of equine influenza in a boarding facility in Miami County, Kansas on June 17. The 14-year-old Paint gelding had onset of clinical signs on June 16 that included cough, fever and nasal discharge. The horse was alive and affected at the time of this report.
