Equine Influenza in Clackamas County, Oregon

Two horses were confirmed with equine influenza in Clackamas County, Oregon, with one other suspected of having the disease and five others exposed.

An attending veterinarian has reported two confirmed cases of equine influenza in Clackamas County, Oregon. One other horses is suspected of having equine influenza and five additional horses were exposed.

The first positive horse had onset of clinical signs on November 13 that included mild cough, fever and nasal discharge. The vaccinated horse was affected and alive at the time of this report.

The second positive horse had onset of clinical signs on November 15 that included mild fever and nasal discharge. The vaccinated horse was affected and alive at the time of this report.
