The Massachusetts State Veterinarian has reported confirmed cases of equine strangles in Plymouth and Bristol Counties.

In Plymouth County, a private facility had a horse test positive on December 8. The horse is affected and alive. 

In Bristol County boarding facility, a horse was confirmed with equine strangles on December 8 with 10 other horses exposed. The confirmed horse is affected and alive.
