Five-Year Vet Diploma to Begin in Some India Colleges

According to the Pune Mirror website, the India’s Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries asked all states to “introduce a recognized five-year diploma course in veterinary sciences across all government-certified veterinary medicine colleges.

The article said the new five-year course would replace current two-year diploma courses, which they said are not recognized and “does not qualify its recipients to practice as veterinary doctors.”
