There are many opportunities for veterinarians (and others) to obtain grants to further research or education. Below are a few that are listed on the AVMA’s website.
Veterinary Pharmacology Research Foundation (VPRF) Grant
VPRF has agreed to continue support for studies with a pharmacological focus. The first VPRF funded study was awarded in 2009 and each year, they have continued their support, allowing researchers the capability to evaluate the safety, effectiveness and duration of effect of therapies for veterinary species, explore new drug therapies for animals, develop and validate methods of evaluating effects of drugs in animal diseases or conditions, or ensure that a safe food supply is not compromised by drug therapy. Please see below for more information on this call and its guidelines.
