Henry Schein Helps Veterinarians Unlock the Power of Technology at Summit

Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) recently demonstrated its commitment to helping its veterinary customers build more profitable practices and enhance their ability to deliver excellent client service and patient care by hosting the 2016 Veterinary Technology Summit. The summit is designed to help veterinarians, practice managers, and staff members better understand the intersection of veterinary medicine and technology.

The summit, which took place October 19-21 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, offered nearly 500 attendees a range of information sessions focused on strategies to better utilize technology in their work, including how to go paperless, implement wellness plans, manage inventory, use electronic medical records, and other topics designed to enhance practice profitability and efficiency. Attendees were also offered the opportunity to attend hands-on training classes for Henry Schein’s AVImark, ImproMed Infinity, and ImproMed Triple Crown practice management software programs.

“We created the Veterinary Technology Summit three years ago because we knew that most of the veterinary practices in the U.S. are only scratching the surface of what’s possible,” said Chris Dollar, President, Henry Schein Global Animal Health Practice Solutions. “By showing our customers everything that technology can do, while also exposing them to some of the industry’s foremost experts on a range of topics, we can help our customers grow revenue and build the strongest practices possible for the ultimate benefit of their patients.”

Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Schein, Inc., delivered the summit’s keynote address, discussing key trends impacting technology and the animal health industry. Additional speakers discussed timely practice management topics such as effective use of social media, practice marketing, client communication, and techniques to attract and retain clients and patients.
