NAVC Announces VMX 2024 “Show of Shows”

The NAVC is building on the success of its 40th VMX anniversary with the announcement of a "Show of Shows" theme for its 2024 event.
NAVC announces Show of Shows for 2024 VMX event.

Building on record-breaking attendance and a new pricing model for its 40th VMX anniversary held earlier this year, the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) unveiled VMX 2024’s “Show of Shows” theme with exciting new elements for its 41st annual conference, January 13-17, 2024, in Orlando, FL.

“VMX has become the veterinary industry’s ‘show of shows,’” said NAVC CEO Gene O’Neill. “VMX 2023 exceeded our expectations on multiple fronts and set a new bar for veterinary conferences with record-breaking attendance of more than 27,000, a groundbreaking registration fee and innovations to provide a unique Expo Hall experience. In 2024, we will make VMX even better by further transforming the attendee experience so that in addition to enjoying the world-class continuing education NAVC is known for, attendees will have a conference experience like no other veterinary conference with big entertainment, an international festival-like explosion of fun in the Expo Hall and more surprises to come!”

VMX 2024 will present a world’s fair–veterinary style–with innovation, entertainment and thrills designed to offer wonders, wows and wisdom around every corner. Attendees can expect world-class, high-level education sessions in a variety of formats–classroom lectures, interactive sessions in the Expo Hall, and hands-on workshops–along with nightly entertainment to be held in a special entertainment center within the Expo Hall. They will also experience the immersive feeling of being at a combination international festival/World’s Fair with food, games and possibly even rides.

The NAVC will continue the $125 Early Bird registration pricing it introduced at VMX 2023. To accommodate its increased attendance, the NAVC will expand its education footprint by doubling most of the room sizes and utilizing both the south and north concourses of the Orange County Convention Center. There will also be a new check-in process and centralized entertainment in the Expo Hall to accommodate VMX’s growing attendance.

Presented by the NAVC, VMX is the world’s largest and most comprehensive global veterinary education conference.  As the first veterinary conference of the year, it sets direction for the industry and is the forum for new innovation, patents and product introductions.

At VMX 2023, held in January of this year, NAVC introduced a new pricing model that opened the doors to the world’s leading veterinary conference to more than 9,500 first-time attendees and increased overall attendance to more than 27,000 people from more than 70 countries. The NAVC also introduced new, novel ways to interject fun and drive more people to spend time in the VMX Expo Hall to engage with exhibitors and sponsors. This included a bar for attendees to sip coffee and cocktails and 1980s-themed fun like a roller skating rink and video arcade. VMX 2024 builds on this bold new approach with festival-style events and activities.

VMX will feature sessions and hands-on workshops led by world-renowned animal healthcare experts. Veterinary professionals around the world can learn about and engage with the industry’s latest products and innovations at the NAVC’s award-winning Expo Hall, and also explore the New Product Gallery. The exciting VMX Pet Pitch Competition, where startups introduce their products and services in a highly-anticipated, shark-tank style event, will return for its seventh year.

VMX 2024 will be held January 13-17, 2024, at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and everywhere virtually. Click here for VMX 2024 in-person event registration information.

Credentialed media may attend VMX for free, in person in Orlando or virtually. For more information on how to register, contact publicrelations@navc.com.
