The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) today announced it is expanding its annual NAVC Media E-Commerce+ Summit, providing new tools and resources to help the veterinary profession adapt and keep up with increasing consumer demand for more digital and virtual healthcare options. This year, the NAVC’s E-Commerce+ Summit is open to all veterinary professionals, along with the industry professionals it traditionally hosts. The event will be held virtually September 22-23, enabling broader participation.

The NAVC created the E-Commerce Summit in 2018 to help the veterinary community better understand the most efficient tools, best practices and effective strategies to maximize their success. This year’s Summit will have a strong focus on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected and transformed the constantly-changing veterinary industry.

“Consumers are driving change to adopt digital options within the veterinary field. This has been accelerated during COVID-19 and, like all industries, the veterinary community must adapt and evolve,” said Gene O’Neill, NAVC’s CEO. “This year’s E-Commerce+ Summit provides new learning opportunities for all veterinary industry professionals and, by going virtual, we are making it more affordable and accessible.”

The Summit will also cover emerging trends in the delivery of veterinary care, including where the field is headed and how veterinary organizations can compete and thrive in the animal health industry. Topics for this year’s event include: understanding the needs of the modern pet owner; access points to veterinary care; how the coronavirus pandemic created an increased demand for digital and virtual healthcare options, and much more. In a profession that has transformed greatly since the global pandemic, the Summit will highlight new innovations and opportunities to better serve the veterinary community. The event will feature speakers from Vetsource, Packaged Facts, Nestlé Purina, the Veterinary Innovation Council and more.

Registration is open until the event, but early bird pricing ends August 31. Registrants will have 90-day access to view sessions on demand.
