On Monday, July 9, 2018, the Nebraska State Veterinarian’s Office received a report of a neurologic horse that tested positive for equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) in Buffalo County, Nebraska. The horse will be euthanized. The facility is currently under voluntary quarantine with appropriate biosecurity in place.
