Potomac horse fever (PHF) was confirmed in a horse at a private facility in New London, Connecticut.

An attending veterinarian has confirmed a case of Potomac horse fever (PHF) in a horse at a private facility in New London, Connecticut. A vaccinated, 5-year-old Quarter Horse gelding began showing clinical signs on July 30, 2018, including high fever, diarrhea, lethargy and inappetence. The horse is receiving treatment.
