Potomac Horse Fever Confirmed in Virginia Horse

A horse in Shenandoah County, Virginia, tested positive for Potomac horse fever in July 2021.

The attending veterinarian on a farm reported that one horse had tested positive for Potomac horse fever in Shenandoah County, Virginia.

Five other horses on the farm were considered exposed.
