Quarter Horse Colt in Oregon Positive for Equine Influenza

An attending veterinarian reported that a weanling Quarter Horse colt was confirmed with equine influenza on February 21. The colt had onset of clinical signs on February 14 that included fever and a snotty nose.

The colt was “undervaccinated” and is alive.
