Rood & Riddle Named Official Equine Hospital of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships

The Breeders’ Cup today announced that Rood & Riddle, one of the world’s leading equine veterinary practices, has been named the Official Equine Hospital of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and Title Sponsor of the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Post-Position Draw.

This year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 13 races and $26 million in purses and awards, will be held for the first time at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky, on Oct. 30-31.

The Rood & Riddle Breeders’ Cup Post-Position Draw will be held at Keeneland on Monday, October 26. The draw will be conducted in two phases. The first phase, drawing of 11 Breeders’ Cup World Championships races, will be held in the Keeneland sales pavilion at 1 p.m. ET.

The Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff and the Breeders’ Cup Classic will be drawn later that afternoon in the magnificent Bourbon Lounge chalet at the racetrack.

The Breeders’ Cup administers the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s year-end Championships. The Breeders’ Cup also administers the Breeders’ Cup Challenge qualifying series, which provides automatic starting positions into the Championships races. The 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 13 grade I races and purses totaling $26 million, will be held October 30-Oct. 31 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky, and will be televised live by the NBC Sports Group.
