Rowan University Becomes Provisional Member Institution of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges

The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) has added Rowan University as a provisional member institution to their growing global membership.    

Any college or school of veterinary medicine which grants the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent and is not accredited by or has not gained “reasonable assurance” from the Council on Education (COE) is eligible to apply for provisional membership to the AAVMC.

The School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University plans to welcome its first class in fall 2025, pending accreditation approval. The school will be the first and only veterinary school in the state of New Jersey. It will be housed on Rowan University’s main campus in Glassboro.
