The board of directors of the NAEP is proud to announce the next step in the organization’s evolution. With a refined mission focused on equine practitioners working together for the betterment of the health of the horse, the board voted unanimously to recognize this as a wider pursuit beyond the North East and change the name to National Alliance of Equine Practitioners. The new name comes with a brand campaign that includes an updated identity which reflects the organization’s mission to work together for the horse to a national audience.

“Our association has transformed dramatically over the past few years and it became clear, to all of us, that the perceptions of the NAEP have not evolved at the same pace,” said Dave Dawson, Chief Executive Officer. “The name change marks a significant shift both at the board level and outwardly, with a strategy hyper-focused on the national audience of equine practitioners. The NAEP’s core values of inclusion, inter-professional education and growth will power the association’s future as we work towards stronger alliances in the industry. We look forward to serving our membership and the industry as a whole as we undertake the next step of this journey.”

The new brand identity will be celebrated at this year’s Saratoga Vet & Farrier Conference, September 27 – 30th, 2023, in Saratoga Springs, NY. Updated signage showcasing the elements of the rebranding will be prominently displayed throughout the event. The board of directors will be present to answer any questions and discuss the new direction of the organization. We encourage everyone to attend and learn more about the future of the National Alliance of Equine Practitioners.
