Kentucky has 28 confirmed cases of Potomac horse fever (PHF) in 2017 according to information from the University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.

Kentucky has 28 confirmed cases of Potomac horse fever (PHF) in 2017 according to information from the University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. Of that total, four cases were confirmed in May, nine in June, nine in July, and six in August (as of August 14).

Positive samples were collected from horses in Taylor, Woodford, Fayette, Bourbon, Scott and Harrison Counties.
