One premises in Lake County, Florida, was placed under quarantine for clinical signs of strangles on August 16. Two of the 25 horses on the property were clinical at the time of quarantine. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services noted that the index case became clinical around August 8. 

This is the strangles third case for Lake County and the 27th for Florida in 2017.
