An attending veterinarian confirmed a case of Potomac horse fever at a private facility in Thurston County, Washington. 

The 20-year-old Dutch Warmblood cross mare had onset of clinical sign on May 16 that included anorexia, diarrhea and lethargy. She was confirmed with Potomac horse fever on May 20 and is recovering.
