The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Rural Affairs confirmed a case of Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in Canada.

A 26-year-old horse showed mild muscle fasciculations, somnolence and recumbency and was confirmed with EEE on June 17. The horse was unvaccinated and is recovering.
